Hah; luckily my company doesn’t have a hard and fast dress code. A lot of the time in hot weather I’ll wear my “Davy” Dukes and nobody says a word. Most of the time I lock myself in my office and just do my thing so it’s not like I’m dealing with the “outside” world in my job. The only time I do have a dress code is when making site visits and I have to be in protective gear. I also have clearly visible tattoos and piercings and my company doesn’t give a crap about that either.
As far as when I transcend corporate slavery and start my business venture; to hell with dress codes. I’m wearing what I want. I don’t give a shit.
I have dressed as an individual my entire life. My mother used to make me wear crazy things to school, purple, velvet knickers with white lace up boots did NOT go over well in 7th grade. I was literally hired at the local YMCA because of my fashion sense and experience. Then they “suspended me,” and I was told I had to wear a uniform for 90 days. I walked out on the spot.

Wow that’s a tricky one a dress code doesn’t officially exist, I think? Good question I’d guess the men dress how they’d like to be judged and perceived by others. If I came to work in trainers tee shirt and jeans work friends would call be bad things behind my back which is all I care about. However if a woman wore smart short skirt, black stockings, tits over flowing a nice low cut blouse, they’d say she looked well dressed BUT we men would definitely refer to her as a hooker! The rules are different dependent on the sex. Great post.
My dress code is based on which pj bottoms are clean.
Another excellent Vid Neuro. I haven’t worn a clothing code/dress code for twenty years now, and l think l would shudder at the prospect of having to wear a uniform – eek! many years ago, l was continually suited and booted, Ties and bling for retail management, but since working for myself – in simple terms – dress code can swing it. But codes have dramatically changed since l was first going to work on a regular basis, shirt/ties, suits here in the UK in certain industries are no longer worn and the more casual dressage has appeared making it l guess easier for some folks.
I used to make the mistake of wearing certain items that were too transparent. Be sure to check out any clothes you have doubts about in a large mirror with decent lighting, ask a friend or co-worker if you doubt. Many transparent tops can be worn to work with a SAME color camisole underneath but this layered approach does not work well for skirts or dresses.
I wish to convey my gratitude for your kindness for visitors who absolutely need assistance with that idea. Your real dedication to passing the message all over had been pretty practical and has without exception enabled associates much like me to realize their targets.
