    Another blogpost from a “Delightfully strange, passionate, artistic, nerdy, and fun” Autistic blogger. The Autistic Community asks for your help spreading real autism awareness on the internet and in person, to balance a lot of inaccurate or negative perceptions spread by the large organization “Autism Speaks”. There are no actually autistic individuals in the high levels of management of the organization, and sadly many people think they are speaking for non verbal autistic people when quite often what is going on inside that non verbal persons head may be entirely different. There are many “non-speaking” people with autism who have found other valid ways of communicating their thoughts and feelings; through a key board; through various speaking aid technologies; even through sign language and other methods.

  2. I’m sharing this site with a friend that has an nephew that has autism. You might inspire his parents to allow him to explore what the world has to offer.
