Lyric Rivera (they/them), from Neurodivergent Consulting, is a late-identified Autistic and ADHD adult. More folks need to learn tbat Autistic Pride Day was invented by a very ban-happy cultlike organisation that damaged + hurt a lot of spectrumites. It’s always a disappointnent to find out such a fact, but it matters to go through life vigilantly to such discoveries. The organisation concerned collapsed in 2013 nder the unworkability of its own control level, but the couple who led it still have an onliine prssence, seeking iinfluence that might put them back in business, through taking credit for being the day’s inventors.
So as an emotional safety ethic it needs replacing with other names + dates.
