Let’s Talk About Irrational Fear

At a recent doctor’s visit I was forced to face my irrational fear of needles. Maybe saying phobia would be more correct because I almost threw up and passed out in terror. Good thing they only draw blood once a year.

  1. One thing we have learned in our family is to lie down first. That helps the dizziness and lay there for a few minutes after you give the blood. We always make sure there is somewhere for the kids to lie down before they have to give blood.

  2. That feeling when the sweats come on, oh my it is the worst feeling. I have the same fear of needles and sharp objects. What a horrible feeling.
